Climashield® Selected by Helikon-Tex® for Tactical Gear

Insulation proves durable enough to stand up to the extreme requirements of a brand known for providing the ultimate protection

MUNICH, Feb. 4, 2013 – Today, at ISPO MUNICH, Climashield® (Hall C2, Stand 362) announced that Helikon-Tex® has selected its brand of insulation for the Level VII Coyote jacket.

Having developed numerous insulation applications for the U.S. Armed Forces, Climashield® has a long history of working with customers to develop a custom product for tactical and military gear. Climashield® consistently outperforms the competition in warmth-to-weight ratio, helping military suppliers shed weight in their final garment, without losing warmth. Additionally, AquaBan® technology, a surface encapsulation treatment, releases body moisture and sheds water so that warmth and comfort are maintained even in damp or humid conditions.

“As a supplier to law enforcement, security personnel, police, army and special forces, our products not only need to hold up in harsh climates, but they also need to be built to last,” said Jedrzej Mieszczak, product manager at HELIKON-TEX®. “After looking at a variety of insulations, Climashield® was the obvious choice for our Level VII Coyote jacket, given that its warmth lasts throughout the life of the garment.”

“By partnering with Helikon-Tex®, we are aligning with a company that shares our dedication to provide the best in performance and design for the men and women who protect their country and community. We look forward to a continued relationship with this premium brand,” said Matt Schrantz, chief operating officer at Climashield®.

The Helikon-Tex® Level VII Coyote jacket provides protection again frost, wind and light showers. Lightweight, the jacket is equipped with Climashield® Apex™ for the ultimate in warmth, two chest pockets lined with fleece to protect against frostbite and a hood that can be easily adjusted without removing hands from the chest pockets.

The Helikon-Tex® Level VII Coyote jacket featuring Climashield® APEX is expected to be available in Q1 2013.
