Clima Customer Spotlight: Profline AS

Profline AS is an Estonian manufacturer specializing in military clothing and equipment. The company began operations in 1994 as a subdivision of Klementi AS, a producer of corporate and workwear. Seven years later, Profiline AS was established as an independent company, and since then, its garments and gear have been used by the Estonian Defence Forces, the Police and Border Guard Board, and the Women’s Home Guard.

In 2017, Profiline AS developed a comprehensive military collection featuring a digital camouflage pattern that Estonian soldiers use daily. In addition to clothing, the company supplies the Estonian military with sleeping systems and a range of accessories, including equipment bags and chest rigs.

The research and development process for each Profline AS product takes up to a year. Before reaching the end user, every item undergoes rigorous testing in both laboratory and field conditions to ensure maximum functionality, durability, and comfort. From identifying a problem to delivering a finished product, the entire process takes place in Estonia, ensuring compliance with strict European Union standards for sustainability and social responsibility.

Profline AS’ cold weather clothing and gear is insulated with Climashield® APEX, delivering the greatest weight-to-warmth ratio on the market. And thanks to its AquaBan® proprietary surface encapsulation treatment, Climashield APEX minimizes the impact of moisture while allowing its passage out and away from the body. 

The OLAV + OLAVE sleeping system from Profline AS features a 100% nylon RipStop polyamide outer shell that encases a layer of Climashield APEX insulation. On its own, OLAV is a compact and versatile sleeping bag designed for use in cold and humid conditions. It is paired with OLAVE, a durable, multi-purpose waterproof cover in a digital camouflage pattern.

Made from lightweight material with a 10,000 mm waterproof rating, OLAVE provides reliable protection in even the harshest weather conditions. All seams are taped, and the zippers are splash-proof for maximum weather resistance. The material also retains its key performance properties even after repeated wash cycles and prolonged storage. 

OLAV and OLAVE are designed to be used together, connected by zippers, while also functioning as effective standalone pieces. The OLAVE cover features eyelets that allow it to be converted into a tarp and armholes that make it possible to wear it as a hooded coat.
