Nearly a century-long tradition and cutting-edge technology work together in the Italian brand of sporting goods, Colmar. Founded in 1923, the company quickly turned their eyes to the pioneering world of snow sports. When Leo Gasperl broke the world’s speed skiing record in 1936, he did so while wearing a Colmar cape.

Eighty years later, Colmar continues to manufacture high-end mountain sports and lifestyle apparel. From classic woolen pullovers and cardis to moisture wicking mid layers and technical ski jackets, all Colmar pieces are the result of more than nine decades of innovation.

Hailing from the best Italian textile traditions and dedicated to design excellence, Colmar is a unique amalgam of performance and fashion. According to the company’s mission statement, sport, style, innovation and history are all part of the brand’s DNA.

Flagship stores are located in Milan, as well as some of Europe’s best skiing resorts such as Chamonix, Cortina d’Ampezzo and Courmayeur. Although Colmar’s roots are in the mountains, the company is renowned not only for its snow sports gear but also for a wide range of golf apparel.

Colmar’s team of ambassadors includes skiing and golf titans such as two-time giant slalom world champion, Tessa Worley. In addition, the company manufactures all French national skiing team gear such as racing suits and jackets.

Colmar’s logo is easily spotted on the slopes of the PyeongChang 2018 Olympics. In fact, the company made its debut on the Olympic stage in 1952, when Italian skier Zeno Colò began his dominant career while wearing the world’s very first aerodynamic ski suit made by Colmar.

The products are divided into two lines: Colmar Sport and Colmar Originals. Equally at home in an untouched mountain landscape and on the busy city streets, Colmar brings together technical excellence and the unmistakable Italian fashion sense. Classic jackets from the Originals collection feature Climashield continuous filament insulation for optimal warmth-to-weight ratio and a soft, comfortable feel.

The Colmar Stretch Padded Men’s Jacket is a timeless, minimal piece that can withstand the challenges of busy urban living or a short backcountry trip. Padded with durable and lightweight Climashield synthetic insulation, the Stretch Padded Men’s Jacket keeps the body’s temperature constant regardless of humidity. Designed with the highest attention to detail and deliberate simplicity, this piece is as rugged as it is stylish. Available in five deep colors, it is a staple for any active urbanite.
